Looking for something special to take home? Azerbaijan is full of colorful crafts, local treats, and handmade souvenirs that make perfect gifts or travel memories. Here are some easy-to-pack ideas:

1. Carpets & Textiles

Traditional Azerbaijani carpets and kilims are famous for their patterns and quality. If a full-size rug is too big, go for small woven items or decorative pillowcases.

Tip: Check for authenticity certificates if buying handmade carpets.

2. Sweets & Tea

Pakhlava (baklava), shekerbura, and local fruit jams are great edible souvenirs. Pair them with some Azerbaijani black or thyme tea for a true taste of the region.

Tip: Tea is often sold in decorative boxes — perfect for gifting.

3. Ceramics & Pottery

Hand-painted plates, bowls, and mugs often feature national motifs and make lovely kitchen keepsakes.

Tip: Wrap them well — they’re fragile!

4. Pomegranate Products

Pomegranate is a symbol of Azerbaijan. You’ll find juices, sauces, and even pomegranate wine in most gift shops.

Tip: Check liquid restrictions if flying with hand luggage.

5. Traditional Items: Armudu Glasses, Prayer Beads & Nard

Armudu — the iconic pear-shaped tea glass — is a beautiful and functional gift. You can also find handmade prayer beads (tesbih) and traditional wooden nard (backgammon) sets with intricate carvings.

Tip: These items reflect local culture and are easy to find in souvenir markets.
