Whether you’re here for a quick city break or just landed for a longer journey across the country, Baku has the perfect blend of history, architecture, and culture to explore in a single day. Here’s a simple route to help you fall in love with the city from day one.

1. Icherisheher (Old City)

Step into Baku’s ancient heart. Wander through narrow stone alleys, discover centuries-old mosques, the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, and the iconic Maiden Tower.

Tip: Grab a tea with jam in one of the traditional courtyards.

2. Flame Towers & Highland Park

Take the funicular or walk up to Highland Park to see the famous Flame Towers up close and enjoy one of the best panoramic views over Baku Bay.

Tip: Go just before sunset for golden hour views and great photos.

3. Baku Boulevard (Seaside Promenade)

A relaxing walk along the Caspian Sea, with palm trees, fountains, and modern sculptures. You can take a short boat ride or stop at the Carpet Museum for a quick

Tip: Perfect place for evening walks or cycling.

4. Heydar Aliyev Center

Designed by Zaha Hadid, this architectural masterpiece is a must-see. Even if you don't go inside, the exterior is absolutely worth the trip.

Tip: Don’t miss the “I Love Baku” sign for a photo op.

5. Nizami Street (Torgovaya)

The liveliest pedestrian street in the city, filled with shops, restaurants, and music. A great spot for people-watching and dinner.

Tip: Try local dishes like dolma or lamb kebab in one of the side-street restaurants.
